Ben L'Oncle Soul - "Seven Nation Army" He took an overplayed and overused song and made it fresh and fun again!

 

David Bowie - "Sorrow" As is his wont, Mr Jones blows the original version of this out of the water.

 

My fave cover, first North American version (Feb.64) stealing a march on the Guess Who by a year... recorded live at Rollerland in Plattsburgh, NY

Speaking of Twiliters and Rollerland, this cover of a Mike & the Ravens song is classic, eh @troggy ?

Pretty cool! The film looks pretty good too!

 

A divisive one here... a cover of Jethro Tull's "Locomotive Breath" gave South Africa's Rabbitt (featuring future Yes member Trevor Rabin) a hit in that country. A younger me preferred this version but these days the Tull original wins hands down

Surprised this one hasn't been posted. An epic cover by any definition. Bowie taking on "Wild is the Wind"

 

If you type “the greatest guitar solo ever” into Google this is what comes pretty near the top..

 

For ages I thought this was a Bowie original. Joanne Shaw Taylor does it well too. Great song.
