Probably. I do often confuse those two. I don't know why. They are very different. But I do like them both a lot.

I know how you feel. I just can't get past the vocals from Steven Tyler. I guess I was expecting him to be more faithful to the original. Maybe that's what gives it its charm?

When Grace VanderWaal first appeared on America's Got Talent in 2016, Simon Cowell (in)famously called her "the next Taylor Swift." A year later, Grace did this live cover of Tay Tay's "Look What You Made Me Do," taking out all the pretentious stuff (the "she's dead" part) and giving the chorus a melody that would have avoided a pre-emptive credit to Right Said Fred if Ms. Swift had thought of it herself.

I've posted this another thread about covers but in the spirit of all the Britney Spears covers mentioned within this thread I will add this amazing cover by Richard Thompson: Oops I did it again...

So do I. I remember reading in the book I Hate Myself And Want To Die by Tom Reynolds that Badfinger thought that Nilsson's version was better than theirs.

Certified N'Olins Yacht Rocker Paul Cotton & Poco dish out a spicy cover of JJ Cale's Cajun Moon.
Featuring Rusty Young, with a guttural down & dirty blues solo on the Dobro guitar. Swamp-Spooky...

Justin Rutledge did an entire album of Tragically Hip covers. I'd love to see more acts pull a single act Pin Ups type record featuring one artist.
