At long last, I can stream Crank 2 (Amazon Prime). Such nutty, ridiculous movies. And yet, so entertaining and so well done beneath all the ridiculousness. I'm flashing a bit on Enter The Dragon (perhaps as though that had a love child triad with a couple of video games, somehow mixed up with that commercial where they are driving a Land Rover up some endless Chinese stairs).

There was talk of CrAnK 3, Jason Statham says he can't wait to read the script.

Crank was one of the absolute worst movies I've ever watched. Wrote a long review of it many years ago and couldn't believe it was ever greenlighted and felt it was embrassing that it even existed.

If they do make it happen, they need to call it Crank 3: Crankenstein because it's going to take some serious work to get him back together after what happened to him in the second movie. Could be good - do Nevildine/Taylor even make movies anymore? Seems like a long time since Gamer.

It's a crying shame they don't get any more work, I liked Gamer But ..with Marvel Universe Fast & Furious etc the whole market is geared for the blockbuster. Statham looks to have a summer (mega )hit with The Meg.

A friend lent me a bunch of dvds to watch while "relaxing". Crank 2 was at the top of the stack. I popped it in the player. I understand why many folks can't stand the movie. The opening scene
where he drops out of the sky out of nowhere and lands on pavement then bounces to a halt
;set the tone and tells the audience exactly the kind of movie it is. I love it.

After the MEG, JS is going to do Hobbs& Shaw ( fast furious spin off)also Spy 2 (in production).

I also loved both, a friend told me about them. Very entertaining and hyper modern craziness.

Great films, the pair of them. Can't beat a bit of Statham. Not everything has to be deep and meaningful. He should be the next Bond or Doctor Who.

Apart from Crank(s), think Jason Statham’s best US based film is Safe(2012) and that includes his Fast & Furious run.

I only saw the first one and I thought it was awesome! Yeah it's over the top and ridiculous but I think that's the point.

Statham’s very select on the films he chooses, lucky to have one out a year, in comparison to Dwayne Johnson’s five films per year.
