I'd like to copy some dvd-a tracks on to my computer as wav files to load on to my Creative Labs Jukebox Zen XTRA.

When using the digital out from my dvd-a player, I'm getting 16bit files which are either 44.1 or 48k (depending on the dvd-a's original sampling rate). This is normal and part of the dvd-a spec.

Here's the question: When using Wavelab's record option (and making sure the source is spdif), I'm given the a choice of what sampling rate and bit rate to save the file as. How can I be sure the file is being saved in its original form?

Are there any other utilities I can use to be sure that the file is saved properly?

    Thanks.
