More like subtlety of an Atomic Bomb. Aronoff over play Doug's parts.Like having Ginger Baker playing drums with Fogerty

But yet forgery says in one of the earlier pbs special that Kenny was the greatest drummer he’s ever played with!
    Unfortunately hatred hath no bounds.
But again Lennon DID call Paul a C=NT on record and in print, that is a pretty low word for anyone to use under any circumstance.
So these ego tensions never seem to go away, but in reality, if ccr reunited would they be able to bring anything more than a human jukebox to the stage? No, so you might as well do a hologram tour because in today’s day and age their concert would be very boring. Even the Eagles, doing note for note concerts are more interesting then what a reformed ccr would be.
And fogerty is such a dikhed that I wouldn’t spend 10 dollars on the guy.

Im thinking The Dude would take serious issues with that statement, man. An Eagles show over Creedence, man?

Pick your poison. It would more interesting watching the individual players in the eagles interacting with themselves than watching fogerty interacting with himself.

I think John likes the overplaying because he thinks it’s putting Doug in his place or something. Kind of funny since he cries in his book about how he had to work so hard in preventing the CCR guys from overplaying and now he’s got Arnoff all over the place like a three year old on a toy kit

Well, I'm happy as punch I had a chance to see and meet them at a casino show back in the late 1990's. Doug and Stu were Very cordial and open to the fans after the gig. And luckily, their autographs survived Katrina. The pictures......oh well.....

John Fogerty's current configuration for his live band has changed to include his son in recent years. I wish he'd bring Billy Burnette back on guitar, because I don't enjoy hearing John's son sing.

Definitely. I've seen the Tim Goodman Band perform more recently and also there was a Southern Pacific reunion show a few years ago, which I believe took place in San Francisco. I really wanted to see that Southern Pacific one-off reunion, but already had tickets to a concert in another state which took place on the same night.

Their set was fine, apart from stage problems, plenty of energy.
And the officially released songs sound excellent. Would like to hear the complete performance in same quality.
When, and if this does come out, I think most people will be nicely surprised with the release, based on the official stuff that's already out there.

Obviously it's a non-issue with the band retiring, yet in hindsight, I wish that Stu Cook had utilized his ex-Southern Pacific band mate Tim Goodman as lead vocalist/guitarist in Creedence Clearwater Revisited. His voice would've been well-suited for the CCR material. Not only is Goodman a student of roots music, he's also a veteran musician who built a loyal cult following as a solo artist in the Southwest and co-founded Colorado's first Jam band with Magic Music, playing concerts with the likes of famous acts such as Cat Stevens, The Youngbloods and many others.

'Pink Cadillac' as interpreted by Southern Pacific featuring Tim Goodman on lead vocals with backing vocals by Emmylou Harris.

Fogerty "interacting with himself"? That sounds fairly lewd.

Here's a thing that's always bothered me. When rock critics jabber on and on about the importance of The Band being almost single-handedly responsible for the revival of "Americana," as a reaction to the psychedelic noodling of what came before, (e.g., Cream,) they never mention Creedence Clearwater Revival in the same breath. Now, I love The Band, but they didn't make nearly the same impact on, say, flyover country in the U.S. as Creedence did... not to mention the thousands of bar bands STILL banging out "Proud Mary" all across the country. (How many are tackling "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down?") While I was growing up in 1980's, no baby boomers I knew owned a Band album, yet they knew all the Creedence songs by heart. CCR still doesn't get the respect they deserve, and I think it's mainly because they actually had hits. They were successful, while The Band was always more of a critics' darling.

Also Robbie Robertson promoted himself as an "important artist". Fogerty kept to himself.

Not bad. Two CCR songs in one sentence. ;)
