    Hey, group...

Looking at replacing the old Denon (DRA-685)...does anyone have an opinion on the Creek 5350 SE Integrated...

Opinions on Creek products in general would also be appreciated!

    Many thanks in advance...Ben

I'm no expert on Creek products but I have heard them several times at the Hi Fi shows. Overall, they seem to offer very good sound for the money. I would widen your search and compare a couple brands.

It also might be helpful to know what other equipment you would be using (speakers, cd player, turntable, etc.), size of room and type of music you generally listen to.

Creek is great for the money. I almost bought one of thier Phono pre's. They're popular enough, that some serious audiophiles buy them and praise them highly....

I have a 4140 integrated amp. It's a tad foreward for my liking.I gave it to my wife. She likes foreward and bright sound.

I used to have a 4040 - a nice little amp that would give you a warm comfortable sound if you do not drive it too hard.

They are going to market a pre/power combo soon that is going to be quite expensive, but may sound very good. We'll have to see.
