Which movies are (or were) your favorites? Not sure if there's already been a topic specific to this? Let's say top 10 and honorable mentions? Heat (1995) - I think maybe the best 90's crime flick Carlito's Way (1993) Casino (1995) LA Confidential (1997) Goodfellas (1990) Dead Presidents (1995) New Jack City (1991) Getaway (1994) Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man (1991).... now probably a guilty pleasure, but I liked it when it was released Last Boy Scout (1991) - same as one above
yes, it was a pretty decent decade for Crime movies...I enjoyed them all and have them on home video ...
GoodFellas (1900) Carlito's Way (1993) Bound (1996) The Grifters (1990) Internal Affairs (1990) Pulp Fiction (1994) Jackie Brown (1997) Out of Sight (1998) In the Name of the Father (1993) L.A. Confidential (1997)
I put Heat at the top, I think it's maybe the best crime movie. I will say that I've never seen The Usual Suspects, it's a movie that many people tend to praise, but I never got around to seeing it
US is enjoyable and from what I see on your list you should agree. ; ) oh, and my favorite actor in Heat is Val Kilmer...he was great in this.
Very fine decade for crime. Reversal of Fortune, Jackie Brown, Miller's Crossing, the Krays, The Grifters, A Rage in Harlem, Reservoir Dogs, Citizen X, Dead Presidents, Usual Suspects
Goodfellas Casino The Usual Suspects L.A. Confidential Miller’s Crossing Barton Fink Pulp Fiction Get Shorty Silence of the Lambs Grosse Point Blank Bonus: The Big Lebowski (which I consider more of a comedy, but it is also a fractured crime story)
I'd add a couple of Christopher Walken films- The King of New York and Suicide Kings. Also despite there being spy elements, Ronin was also a heist movie and right up there with Heat for me.
Heat, is that the one where they put the guy’s head in a vice ? that one scene put me off modern crime films. I do watch quite a bit of crime drama from the 40’s and 50’s.
Why are you asking me that? Heat isn't on my list. I did see it, but I don't think there was a scene like that. Could be wrong, though.
