Didn’t hang around long enough to find out.
It’s not Clint or something he would write. Also, it’s a female vocalist.

I remember there was a lot of speculation that GT would be his last acting role, but I don't think he actually ever said anything to that effect.

I don't think any of the three movies he acted in since then are as good, but I'm glad to have seen them all.

A critics pic at the NY? How did a woke NYT critic even stomach the Mexican border guard and America girls scene? There is a car filled with three hot 20 year olds on the way to Cabo and a border guard keeps flirting and leering at them. I kept expecting him to say: "Bikinis? You don't need no stinkin' bikinis!" Such an offensive, stereotyped scene. LOL. that's just bad direction. I hear he says "okay lets roll. Boom. Scene done. Let's move on." Not exactly going for Kubrick perfection these days. You can see in the first scenes with the rancher, the actor looks totally lost. His expression looks like he doesnt know how to play the scene. And this is printed? But what the hell. Certainly, its no "Gram Torino" which was fabulous.

Loved the mule. Not as great as Gran Torino, but still very fun and moving. This movie....pffft.

I've not seen 'Cry Macho' yet, but I hope your endorsement is on the money. I like Clint's movies a lot as well, so I expect to find at least something good in this movie. Time will tell I guess...

yea, well, we are fans of Clint and biased so YMMV...I am not as critical and negative as most are in this thread...I hope you like it...try to view it without the negative remarks you've read here...good luck! ; )

Thanks for the link and the somewhat good news, as I'd hate to see that building get wasted on an office space or torn down. Sadly, all the same, it will never be the same old "Cliff House" and the reservations for that perfect table with the perfect sunset view, will have a ten year waiting period!

Gran Torino was 4 stars for me...as was The Mule, but
Richard Jewell is one of the best and most important
films made in this Century so far. I'll probably watch
Cry Macho eventually but will keep my expectations
    in check.

I've seen The Mule a few times now and really like it. Absurd, subversive and quite funny. Seems to me Clint was having a lot of fun with that one.

I'm a little crestfallen that Clint didn't realize he was simply too old to appear onscreen in a role like this. "Man's got to know his limitations."

    Richard Jewell was outstanding.

I'm really happy to see him acting at this age. No reason why he shouldn't. But I agree, his age didn't fit this part. Felt like it was written for a younger Clint Eastwood.

Nobody saying he shouldn't be acting. Just don't play a role meant for a middle-aged guy?

In the book the film is based on, Clint's character is 38.

The film was made for a 91 year old man...OK..and he fit perfectly in the role...that's my opinion.

Hi should have quit acting after Torino simple as that. Mule was just OK, this always sounded awful to me.

Love the guys films and I'm a big fan, but you have to know when to quit. Sully was a good film.
