Peterson must need some cash. When he walked away, he said he was comfortable and was gonna devote time to some kind of summer theater group.
Restarting the franchise? Remember the Vegas version was simply CSI. The others were spin offs. Bring Lady Heather back! Hells bells make her the star!
I'm looking forward to it more for nostalgia than anything. The actors are really good. If they can recapture the tension and pulse the original CSI had, that would be good.
It's a limited series. Petersen was paid about half a million dollars for episode, and after he stopped acting as Grissom, he was a producer of the show. They'll sure royally reward him, but I don't think he really needs the money. I'm surprised Nick Stokes isn't returning.
that's right, her father/stepfather/boyfriend/former husband/former lover (pick one) left it to her at the end of the last series.
I really enjoyed the first three or four series of the original, when it stil seemed new. A lot of that had to do with Peterson and a sense of humour, because sveral of the cast seemed to struggle with acting. I couldn't stand the spin-offs or even the original after that
Sanders and Stokes were my two favourite CSI characters....Brass and Sidle my least favourite. I get the impression that this season is going to be one of those continuing storylines which I personally loathe (see 'Lost'). Any writer can just make up stuff as they go along. We'll see. Petersen, as a rule, is worth the price of admission.
Did no one watch this last night?! I recorded it but I thought there would be at least some chatter here.
I'm not liking it too much.. the story line is for season is little ridiculous... It's not the same.. I will give a few more episodes..
I watched the initial episode last night and was underwhelmed. If there was a story there I missed it. Petersen and Fox seem to be there just to introduce the bland new crew. I knew one of the lab folks would be a Brit (as if a stunning British woman would be working in a Las Vegas crime lab). Mel Rodriguez's doctor seems more like a serial-killer than a coroner. And the attractive, strong, no-nonsense African - American woman in charge seems to becoming a cliche in US television...but glad to see Matt Lauria there. He was terrific as a FBI agent in the first series. We'll see how this plays out but right now I'm far from optimistic.
You guys have not given me much encouragement to watch this one. But despite what you have said, I am going to give it a shot....at least the first episode.
William Petersen Jorja Fox are at least 5 episodes which is the most the regulars have done so far so it seems they are in it for the long haul.
