    It was okay.

  2. It was a typical Curb episode, nothing more or less IMO. Pretty funny at times, with some cringing.

Typical Curb episode is better than any other comedy with possible exception of Seinfeld.

That was awful. But the show has been in HD from 2009 on.

Am I wrong or is Larry David in very good shape?

Well, given that he's looked like an old man for as far back as I can remember, but still hasn't changed in appearance, than I'd say yes, he is in good shape!

In that shower scene, he had a remarkably flat chest, not flabby breasts, and his biceps were taut and reasonably well-developed. Not an ounce of flab anywhere.

    I fully agree.

I was also pointing out to my girlfriend that Larry has that inner youthfulness. The guy is 70, yet his energy and spirit seems like that of a man in his 30s.

To compare inner and outer, just look at how he compares to Richard Lewis. They are the same age!

I've gathered over the years that he's kind of a health nut, in a sort of neurotic way (of course).

Will they be putting Cheryl and Ted Danson together?! That would surely get Larry's
    dander up.

When I was a kid, SLN was huge. So huge, in fact, that ABC tried to emulate it with their own version. Late 70's... early 80's maybe. It was called Fridays. It featured, among others, Larry David and Michael Richards (Kramer). It sucked. Hard. But that's probably where they started a friendship that became part of Seinfeld.

I wouldn't say it sucked hard. I mean... there were some decent sketches/characters and ideas. The music guests were usually pretty great too.

The character where Richards played a weirdo guy playing with army men was pretty funny. And I always liked the characters Mark Blakenfield played. He was a really funny physical comedian too.

Compared to SNL from the same period, I think I'll take Fridays personally. I mean aside from Eddie Murphy (who was not a major player at first), the show was pretty hit or miss too.

Anyway I own the Fridays DVD and some of it is pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good imo.

Great second ep - so many great bits that all interconnected nicely. I couldn't help noticing a couple of Seinfeldian 'homages' - the hotel room bed sheet tuck and the velvet reference. Who knew Steenburgen was pronounced with a hard 'g'. Very funny ep!

Yeah, fantastic episode. Loved the scene where he spots Mary S. with a Larry David lookalike. That idea was borrowed from a Seinfeld ep also (menage a troix), which was fine with me.

    He's baack, baby!
