You guys are REALLY getting my hopes up....!
Here's hoping that it does not turn into, what someone on the internet has coined; 'hope-ium'!

 

Well...there was speculation that "Egypt Station" would be "McCartney III". People were even finding clues in the teaser photos, leading up to the release.

 

I remember that. There was even a fake cover floating around.

 

I bet he's finished off some more Rude Tracks.

 

Some folks were mistakenly noticing patterns of threes before Egypt Station was released, self included. Stuff like three guitar strings & what not.

Let's hope that's not the case with the new photo if it is indeed a clue because it would be so nice to have a self-produced, home grown album titled McCartney III.

 

Yes, for Egypt Station, with the name of Tunnel Of Love

 

...I never seen that. I saw the fake McCartney III that was going around during the Egypt Station hints

Interesting, I don't recall seeing that one. When everyone was thinking it was McCartney III I did see a fake for that but I just tried searching for it and no luck finding it.

NOTE: this was a FAKE, folks (obviously!) and I had nothing to do with it! I just came across the pic the other day when I was searching the old ES thread:

 

Ok this one I definitely remember. I actually really liked this one and wanted it to be the real cover.
But the one I saw that I'm thinking of wasn't a fake Egypt cover, it was a fake McCartney III cover. It was right when the Egypt clues were appearing and everyone was thinking it was Mac 3 because the flies had a lot of 3 going on.
And someone showed an actual cover that said McCartney III and it looked like it could have been legit.
Then the title "Egypt Station" was announced.

I had lost track of this thread. Glad to see it again. Hope of a McCartney III is the only thing picking me up right now.

 

And I fervently wish for precisely the opposite, though I may be out of luck this time.

Yes, you've made that clear.

 

We can each hope for what we would like from this release. I am just ecstatic that we are looking at an album of Pure McCartney (recorded and produced by). I think there will be at least 6 songs that will be killer while there will be lots to like in the "filler".

Thank you for that, I hope you are right - I have been hoping that he is working on a new record. I really enjoyed the promo and release of Egypt Station, and playing that record is still a nice trip back to 2018 and 2019.

And/or the soundcheck jams that Macca claimed (I don’t remember the exact quote) could be released, some time ago..?

 

But the soundtrack jams would feature his band, which would counter the Mc3 ethos...
