I wonder if that It’s a Wonderful Life musical is still happening?

I think about this virtually every single day.
I suspect it is a holiday themed musical, and therefor would premier in mid-November.
But where? In which year? We just don't know yet. I am truly excited to hear Paul work in a theater mode.
I have no idea if he can, but it will be worth exploring.

My guess is Christmas 2023, purely because High in the Clouds should be this year.

    Baby You’re a Rich Man :)

Sir Paul McCartney tops Sunday Times Music Rich List

"Sir Paul McCartney has topped the Music Rich List

The 79-year-old star has a personal fortune worth £865 million, which is up £45 million from last year thanks to his COVID-delayed Got Back tour and ‘The Beatles: Get Back’ documentary."

    Regardless...

She (what did we do that was wrong)
Is Having (we didn't know it was wrong)
Fun (fun is the one thing that money can't buy)

And just listen to those peerless vocals by Paul and John. How did the stars align that allowed those two to join forces in one band? Wow...

The big picture: Paul McCartney at his parents’ home in 1962

"Mike McCartney took this picture of “our kid” reading the Observer a couple of weeks after the release of the Beatles’ first single, Love Me Do, in October 1962. The record had reached number 17 in the charts. He and Paul were still living at home, 20 Forthlin Road, in Allerton, south Liverpool. “This was the time before the time,” he told me last week. “We were just working-class Liverpool people trying to survive with our dad after our mum had died.”"

The two may well operate independently. I'm not aware that Paul has a producing or ownership stake in either, so timing will be dictated by financing and logistics over which he may have little control -- and the mechanics of getting a big Broadway show off the ground are inherently different than a movie. That said, a Broadway opening shortly before Thanksgiving would make sense for "It's a Wonderful Life," given the holiday theme. That would mean out-of-town tryouts in September and October -- which in turn means that if it's happening this year we should be hearing something soon. If we don't, then presumably it will indeed be 2023.

I never really thought about it before, but Paul didn’t mind the harp in “She’s Leaving Home”
but specifically asked for the harp to be removed at least from the end of “ The Long and Winding Road”.
So, either he thought the harp fit the former song but not the later, or by 1969 he thought a harp was too over the top.

Glad to see this back "out there". It was gone for a while. Same cruddy quality though.

As near as I can tell, these are all mildly different/unique mixes to the album recordings.

Makes for some extreme Paul and Ringo rarities!

The film is kind of terrible. But it’s interesting in the way Broadstreet is interesting. Maybe George would have been a better collaborator on a short film.

“Sure To Fall” sounds like a very different, Linda-to the front, mix. Not bad though.

I like “Private Property” and “Attention”, and sure Ringo could sing them, but they sound like tracks with Ringo’s vocal over top, rather than actually making sense with the song. I wish we had Paul versions of those songs
