Danzig has talked about this for awhile and now it looks like it’s going to happen. Appears to be a mid April release.
I am cautiously optimistic..I haven’t been a fan of his recent solo work but he still has the pipes to pull this off.
If you’re looking for anything close to an audiophile experience you will probably be disappointed. That’s just not his MO.
About 35 years too late. It's still a great idea, but I doubt it will be great. I'd love him to prove me wrong.
Or possibly a bit of both, which is really what I’m looking forward to. That outtake is great. I happened to be driving long distance for work and caught it on Sirius when it was broadcast. The whole interview is worth listening too if you can track it down. He went in depth and played a bunch of his favorite Elvis tracks.
That version of Always on my Mind is great. Is that on the record? Grrat comments on yt vid too.Evil Elvis.
On Sirius he said it was an unmastered demo. I haven’t seen the track list but if it’s on there, 6 years later or whatever it’s likely changed a bit? No clue why it took so long to release.
The voice has something Elvis-ish, (great word, éh?) Not so sure about the piano. I'm curious to find out if he will use known songs and make them his "own" . I hope he'll be able to pull that of as that will make a very interesting listen. I'm full of hope and curious.

After seeing the tracklist, it feels Boonish to me as well. I was expecting a bunch of cool Elvis songs. Imagining Glenn singing "You give me fever" make me cringe. I'm curious to hear how this turns out, though.
He probably could've fronted a fun rockabilly or psychobilly band as a side project. And he might've been able to pull off a Buster Poindexter type persona.
