received the Bowie replacement CD in post this morning!

 

That’s good news. They’re coming out earlier than I thought they would!

Yes- also the discs look identical in terms of codes etc

No, but I did get an email confirmation from them.

I received an email saying they’d acknowledged my email and then one saying shipped.

I checked wave file. It’s been compressed equally throughout now. Whereas previously it seemed they forgot to compress the second half.

 

I've heard whispers that the standalone release has got the second half of heroes compressed, but the rest of the album uncompressed - just to cover all bases.

 

I have the vinyl box and I got an email today stating, “we have now raised the replacement for you” with an account number. Odd phrasing. I take it this means it’s on it’s way?

 

It’s corporate gobbledygook for “in the process, not quite shipped”.

 

Received an email this past weekend. Should be on the way soon.

 

Got my replacement cd today. That was fast. They turned that around in about 3 working days. Record company obviously working hard to redeem themselves. Sounds ok now.

 

BTW...where are the replacement discs shipping from?

Only the title track is corrected? I hear also an annoying volume drop during Sons of the Silent Age at 2:18 (in the left channel). At least I do not hear it in my other CDs (RCA, Ryko, EMI).
