It's a cheap ploy to call this Metrobolist and use the Bowie rejected cover, especially as it's merely a new remix.

    Two words; David Bowie.

If they had him reading the phone book i would most likely buy it.

My God, Bowie's far more prolific when dead than he ever was when alive. Who signs off this trash? The estate seem to be making a career out of creating frankenstein remix releases nobody wanted or cared for and not actually releasing what we want or are hoping for.

Umm, you wouldn’t have thought “ Oh my God, a new Bowie album I’ve never heard! I must buy thisimmediately!” -or whatever......because it says The Man Who Sold the World right on the cover, Which isn’t a new album title. missing the point completely...nice try, I guess?

My RCA Dynaflex is anything but thin. I think the Ryko's were all a bit thin in general no?

Assuming I wasn’t on music forums and nevertheless walked into a local indie record store and thought “Hmm, here’s a new David Bowie album with hideous artwork and a really dumb misspelled title - I must own this!”, I would hope I would turn the LP over and read the song titles on the back and recognize that it’s The Man Who Sold The World that I already own.

But was it supposed to be the start of a series? There was speculation about a MWSTW box, but that’s all it was.

That’s the original German version I believe. I have the UK RCA kick cover version of this album. It sounds fantastic. Not muddy at all. I dig this title, but I’m not interested in a remix.

I like the Visconti Lodger remix but never had the opportunity to listen to the Space Oddity.
    Which one of better ?

I'll get this just because TMWSTW is one of my favourite albums, but I don't know if I'll ever actually listen to it...I'm not a fan of remixes.

I mostly liked the Lodger remix but didnt care for Space Odditty. Title track was ruined by production gimmickry. Many liked it, though, so could be just me.

Hoping with this for a decent release of the full 1970 BBC sessions, at least digitally. Looking forward to the remix. I’ll still have multiple copies of the original, LP and CD.

Sounds like a obvious cash grab ..Is this the new normal re-release all david's cds?
I mean they have been remastered plenty times.. special editions etc.
I have majority of david's cds.. Visconti it seems needs money..
    Why else do this?

I think this album NEEDS a remix. It's a bloated mess on a good system.

Lodger also was originally a very rushed mixing affair in an attempt to keep it from being too glossy and slick and it was 50% flat and 50% fine. It needed a workover.
