Today, April 12, would have been David Cassidy'd 68th birthday. Thought a thread on him would be nice. What songs were your favorite that he sang - either with Partridge Family or his solo career?

I like quite a few of his songs.....but Cherish is really good - I think I prefer it to the Association's version

Two of my very favs out of at least 50 tunes I love. Overall he was one of my favorite male rock/pop vocalists.

Probably this. It’s a pleasant pop song, typical of its era.

IMO, the best thing David Cassidy ever did was his acting performance on an episode of “Police Story” when he portrayed an undercover cop infiltrating a High School drug ring. He was outstanding and received an Emmy nomination.

I very much like the nineties albums, S/T and Didn't You Used To Be....

Cassidy's assured performance of 'I Think I Love You' here at 21:25 is fabulous... (if you can stop watching Susan Dey at 18:56  )

Very sad - definitely missed by me. My BD is same day!

I like The contemplative "I'll Leave Myself a Little Time" from the amazing Up To Date album.

I’ve always loved his Dreams Are Nuthin’ More Than Wishes album. Beautiful recording, and I think his voice was at it’s peak here.

Also love Cherish and Could It Be Forever. Seemingly perfectly designed for his vocal style.

I think "Where is the Morning" is a great song by David Cassidy....anyone ever hear that song? It's also on youtube.

I loved the song "24 hours a day" from Partridge Family when I was a kid....the youtube video is so good.....he was about the best looking
guy I ever saw...and a voice of gold when he was younger.....made all the girls swoon in the early '70's

"I Think I Love You". I think Paul Westerberg did a great cover of it too, not certain.

My favorite vocal performances by David Cassidy are I'll Meet You Halfway and I Woke Up In Love This Morning. Those are just two, there are several more that I like.

It's a shame that he had to pass away the same week as that monster Manson.

He sang a lot of great songs, but this is the best I have ever heard him execute a song:

As much as I love the original hit version of "Looking Through The Eyes Of Love" by Gene Pitney, David and The Partridge Family did a very good cover version, in my opinion ...

Actually, it evolved into a short-lived TV show. It was favorite of my father and I. It's a shame it did not succeed.
