That clip sounds like pure CPR, which I love. That is the James Raymond influence. Did somebody say Jeff Pevar is the guitarist on the album?

Why the dislike by some for the song? Great tune and Crosby is in fine form! Rather than trot out a retread of "Long Time Gone", here is an artist exploring new territories. I like it.

The new song is on Spotify. I'm convinced Donald Fagen either wrote it, played on it, or sang on it. It's so good. It's as close as we're going to get to a new Steely Dan song I guess!

I saw Crosby a week ago in Vermont, fabulous show, he played just one 'hit' ("Deja Vu"). I loved the fact he played what he wanted, and didn't compromise for marketability's sake.

I was startled to see "Sky Trails", didn't know any thing about it, since I just bought Lighthouse.

He is truly on an amazing roll...in great voice, with a great band, superb new material, 3 terrific albums in a row. The best work of his entire career, IMHO

Is 'somebody home' a re-recording or the version he recorded with Snarky Puppy ?

Looking forward to hearing this. For me, Crosby's first album, If I Could Only Remember My Name, is a classic. I've liked all his albums since then, particularly Oh Yes I Can and Thousand Roads. The main criticism I have about his most recent output is that, for all their interesting songs, they're produced in a way that makes them kind of samey.

I just picked up a 4th row ticket for 66.00 for Ithaca, id say that is pretty reasonable nowadays...

ours were about the same. last time we saw him was solo and it was great. been a while since I saw him with a band. first time I saw him on his own was a solo show in late 1973. that was solo too.

Nice to see a classic looking album cover as opposed to the cheap looking photoshopped ones that are so prevalent these days....

  22. I've only just heard about this but to my ears "CROZ" and "Lighthouse" are two of the most consistently beautiful, moving and spiritual albums anyone has released anywhere in the world in the past 3 years. I have just pre-ordered the LP - this is a rare "day one" purchase for me based on the previous two. If anyone had said to me a few years ago "you'll be buying David Crosby solo albums the day they come out soon", I'd have laughed out loud. What happened? Well, Crosby has made a solo career resurgence and is now, I believe, peerless among his contemporaries with work of this consistently high quality. Keep 'em coming, David. Long may he run!

Very Gaucho, She's Got To Be Somewhere. Too bad the vocal lead is below the keyboard in the mix. This sounds better than the Steely Dan comeback albums.

I did not see myself morphing into a Crosby fanatic, but that's exactly what has happened.

One thing is certain CSNY needs Crosby more than he needs them ...
