    It's a Freekin "GeezerFest"

Becca Stevens, an artist that's part of the Snarky Puppy family, just posted this on Facebook:

Traveling w/out instruments + cordless noise canceling headphones + S-Town podcast = HEAVEN. Off to LA for meetings, a bit of recording, and then writing music with the Croz-co-dile. David Crosby

Seems like he is not slowing down lately!

Good for Crosby. Would like to see another album similar to "Lighthouse". Glad to hear Croz's and Still's new music.

I was very surprised by how much I liked this album. Crosby is channelling Steely Dan and late 70's Joni Mitchell in a very good way.

"Croz" from 2014 was a late career masterpiece to me.
Talk about being blown away by an album when you didn't expect to be...

Is his son still working with him? Seems like he has that 1979 yacht rock sound down.

I'm hoping my vinyl arrives today. I notice that the tracklisting according to Acoustic Sounds includes 2 tracks on the 4th side, which play at 45 rpm (similar to what he did on "Croz"):

    Side 4 (45 RPM)
    She's Got To Be Somewhere

I just listened to the NPR stream.. a great record. I am so happy he is making music still. One of my all time fav artists.

Does anyone have the Voyager box set. Were the older released remastered?

David Crosby, is heading out on tour in Nov/Dec 2017. Joining him will be five exceptionally talented musical friends, James Raymond on keys, Mai Agan on bass, Steve DiStanislao on drums, Jeff Pevar on guitar and Michelle Willis on keys and vocals.

Thanks - interesting interview. He mentions his first solo album and names many of the players but left out a big one - Neil Young. Like Garcia, Neil is all over that album. And a great one it is.

Got my copy yesterday, really liking it so far. I always loved DC's jazzy side (which goes all the way back to his days hanging out with Fred Neil), so this is a treat for me.

My only complaint is that David's vocals are mixed too low on some of the full band tracks. I guess that's the result of recording at 7 different studios. Love the Bernie Grundman mastering, though--no brickwalling on this one!

I bought the CD today and am enjoying what I've heard so far.

Probably more accessible that Lighthouse in some respects, but I like them both and to be getting two quality albums from David Crosby in less than two years is, in some ways, truly staggering given all he's been through. Almost like throwing off the shackles of CSN (though I hope he and Nash can put their difference behind them before it's too late) has given him a new lease of life.

And damn, his voice just sounds so good for a man of his age.

I thought "Croz" was a bit too cheesy but I liked "Lighthouse". Yesterday I listened a bit to the new one on Spotify and I found it rather slickly and cheesy yet again - pity.
