I picked this up in an off-price bin and have been listening to it the last few days.

This disc is just stunning. The presence is almost spooky at times.

A fantastic job Steve...this is one of the best DCC discs I've ever heard.

    :p

And certainly not to take anything from Steve, but it sure is nice to have a great recording and a super singer to work with instead of trying to take something recorded terribly (like the Mama's and Papa's) and make something listenable. I'm sure the Linda Ronstadt tapes were just as nice to work with as well. Great recordings by super fantastic singers!! Then you add Chef Steve "Emeril" Hoffman's essence in the mastering and BAM!! you kick it up a notch and out of your speakers the way it SHOULD sound!!

Luck of the Draw is my favorite of the two Bonnie Raitt discs by a hair, but they are both excellent. Great job, Steve.

Any Bonnie stories you could share?

The DCC editions on vinyl are perfect. Steve did a wonderful job on both Nick and Luck.

Are (were) these both on CD as well as vinyl?

I know where a sealed copy is but it's $55.00. Ouch.

    *sigh*

Guess I'll have to 'bite the bullet'!
