looks like Diagostini are still interested in Vinyl partworks....

So this has just landed on facebook.... Could this see a release outside of Italy? I hope so a there's a few albums i don't yet own on vinyl....

Press Release: NEW COLLECTION OF QUEEN ALBUMS ON 180g VINYL LPs LAUNCHED IN ITALY

On 24th February 2018, global partwork publisher DeAgostini is launching, in association with Queen Productions Ltd. and Universal Music Group, Queen The Vinyl Collection. Featuring 25 albums, it will be available to purchase online (for Italy only) and in newsagents all across Italy.

Issue by issue, Queen The Vinyl Collection, made up of single, double and triple albums, builds into a career-spanning library of Queen’s historic album discography. With artwork overseen and designed by Queen’s art director Richard Gray, each album is presented in high-quality sleeves reprising and, in some cases, refreshing the original artwork. The specially pressed LPs appear on 180g black vinyl, with all titles half-speed mastered and cut at world-renowned Abbey Road Studios in London to achieve audiophile quality sound.

Queen The Vinyl Collection spans the band’s career from its first album, ‘Queen’, in 1973, through to ‘Made In Heaven’, released in 1995, which comprises Freddie’s final studio recordings and additional material from the band’s earlier studio sessions. In addition to Queen’s 15 studio albums, Queen The Vinyl Collection features all three classic Greatest Hits titles (including the currently unavailable ‘Greatest Hits III’), and ‘On Air’, a collection of the band’s BBC Radio recordings. The collection is completed with six live concert albums, among them the long out-of-print Live Killers and a brand new presentation of Live At Wembley Stadium, on triple LP for the first time.

Each album is accompanied by an illustrated 8-page magazine containing the stories behind the group’s renowned recordings. With notes by Queen archivist and writer Greg Brooks (in consultation with Queen publicist Phil Symes and longtime expert fan Jim Jenkins), each issue reveals fascinating details about the creation of the album, including the poignant recording sessions for the last two albums with Freddie, and the key tracks therein, and features quotes and insights from all four members of the band, as well as rare photos, record sleeves and poster art.

Queen The Vinyl Collection is a 25 part series available in Italy. Issue one will be priced at €9.99 for a limited time only, with subsequent single album copies retailing at €17.99; double albums at €24.99; and triple albums at €29.99. Issues are available bi-monthly in newsagents across Italy, with subscribers receiving two issues in one delivery every four weeks. Subscriptions can be purchased online at www.deagostini.it/queenvinile

Opening with their second worst LP and the excellent Jazz at the end. Same poorly received remasters from a few years ago?

Seriously? They didn’t make Half-Speed Masters™ for The Fabs but they’re doing it for Queen?

I can imagine that when they did the original “Studio Collection” box they give the full catalog to Miles Showel to cut at half speed for intended release... that way they aren’t paying for two seperate batches of mastering at abbey road.

I personally think this is good news, and also I think it will come to England soon after ( I mean Queen are one of the great U.K. bands ), it would be unacceptable for it not to follow suit over here - bring it on!. No matter whether you like Queen or not, it has to come here and I for sure will be buying it if it does (yes I do own the coloured vinyl box set as well).

I know deagostini are an Italian company, but it will be a travesty if this isn’t released over here in their home country!. Obviously deagostini have their own decisions to make, but the U.K. should be included within the scope of this release, they can leave it up to the public to decide if they are going to buy it or not after that!.

DeAgostini just confirmed to me that they are expediting a new copy of The Beatles at the BBC after I complained about the condition I received it in.

The Beatles Vinyl Collection subscription and back issue pages having been absent from their website since last night (maybe longer... this is when I first noticed) so this looks about it.

But I wonder why the 'home' page is still there? The Beatles Vinyl Collection

The Jazz Vinyl back issues website has also been down since yesterday, it would appear to be a problem with their server. It has happened in the past and took a few days for them to fix. Not sure why the homepage is still there, something techy.

The de-Agostini UK and Ireland shop server is down you can't access anything at the moment
You can only get access to active subscriptions and some advertised products on their website

Jazz 33 subscription has been shop only for back issues a few months now and as the shop server is down that can't be accessed either

 I thought that was some sort of misspelled fakery (sorry!) until I Googled it to discover it's a logistics company.

    Oh sweet suffering Jehosophat.

Following a trip to the sorting office, I have just had to send the following email to our belovèd Deagostini:

"have just been to the sorting office to collect this replacement LP.

Despite my clearly-worded email referring to your series "The Beatles Vinyl Collection", Issue 16 and "Live At The BBC" you have ignored all that and sent me Issue 16 from the Jazz Collection -which is a single LP in a single sleeve and which could not possibly suffer from the damage I describe in my email.

    To recap:

Can you please send a new copy in perfect condition of:

THE BEATLES LIVE AT THE BBC

    by The Beatles

    which is

    ISSUE 16

    in YOUR series

    THE BEATLES VINYL COLLECTION

of which there were 23 issues and which has ended and of which I am seeking issue number 16, a triple-LP called "Live at the BBC"

I look forward to receiving the correct issue this time. "

Now that I have received my final Beatles album and the last payment was made, I cancelled my Direct Debit, only to receive a letter from DeAgostini this morning saying that their latest payment claim had been rejected because of the cancellation at that it was important to have a Direct Debit arrangement in place so that they could continue sending me the records. Maybe they think I am auto subscribing to the new Queen Collection.
