Anyone seen Dead To Me on Netflix? If you like a darkly funny show with a slightly mysterious storyline and some drama tossed in, this is for you. I just loved C. Applegate's character on this new show. Not too often I just can't stop until all episodes are consumed. The ending of season 1 left me wanting more more more.
My wife and I are really enjoying the first season. It's one of those shows that we're trying really hard to pace ourselves on.
I'm really liking this as well. Maybe the first time I've take noticed Applegate since Married with Children. I liked Cardellini a lot in the under appreciated Bloodline.
My wife (who shall remain nameless) didn't care much for Married with Children, but we both enjoyed Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.
We binged it out in a couple of days, first time we've done that in a while. I really enjoyed it and hope they come back for seconds.
Loving it. We are on episode 7 or 8...I forget. So, I’m not going to read too much here in case there are some spoilers, but it’s been great.
I also enjoy the chemistry between the main characters and if it wasn't for that working so well, it would be a less interesting show. I enjoyed watching the Bundy show with a young Applegate. I forgot that Cardellini is in Bloodline. I must check that out.
We were watching it the other night & when it was over, my wife changed channels & Christina Applegate was guest-starring on an episode of Friends as Rachel's sister. I'm not a huge Friends fan but that episode was pretty funny.
This is very good, but I found little of it ‘funny’. Still, great to see such range from Christina Applegate (who I’ve always liked). Parts of this seem like it’s too conveniently coincidental, but it’s well written and well acted. I’m liking it a lot.
Yeah, not really 'funny' in any sense, but a very good dramatic series. Not quite in the league of say, Big Little Lies, but close. Christina Applegate's performance was great and not really a surprise, as I've seen her do great things in other shows (I can totally see Rhea Seehorn in the same role!). Also very good to see Linda Cardellini again. Really liked the series and looking forward to the next season.
I find it really really funny in a twisted and dark way. But I get why people don't see the funny side of it.
