Could be interesting. What all did that guy have there? Clearaudio, Focal. MacIntosh maybe? Does any tube amp fire up one output tube at a time?

That’s the creepy part, the warning sign you’re about to die.

I hope there's an episode about Serial-Amazon Returners.

Does the disc only make you nauseous if it’s pressed off center?

The description reads: “Deadwax delivers a creepy and stylish tale of Etta (Hannah Gross, Mindhunter), a young woman who works as a scavenger of scarce records for rich clientele. She’s got a gift for tracking down the rarest of the rare, even if it involves a little breaking and entering. Her most recent score includes an especially unusual piece, legendary in collectors’ circles: a “key” record from master sound engineer Lyle M. Lytton, and one of only three in existence."

My gosh... That's lifted straight out of The Ninth Gate...

I watched this the other day, it's 8 parts about 15 minutes each. It was really kinda fascinating and cool. Although there's one scene in the second to last episode that had me laughing hysterically at the equipment used and comments made about it. If you guys watch it you'll know what I mean. It's on Shudder, where you can get a 7 day free trial then it's $5 a month after. Y'all should give it a shot.

An alternative I thought of was that a creepy vinyl collector will spin three records, each with its own horror story attached to it (much like Night Gallery used art to the same effect).

The writer/director, Graham Reznik, is also a sound guy. He’s either an audiophile or is digging at them, but either way, I enjoyed it and there is some purty equipment throughout.

Curiously, I noted that the “lacquer” in question was obviously not a lacquer but a colored vinyl pressing, so arcane SHTV knowledge for the nerd win! :D
