Out of 8 records I ordered, only one was cancelled so far (Plastic Cloud) within an hour after after ordering like you said. Hoping that will be it.
I noticed the shocking blue record I ordered shot up to $32.99 after ordering for $9.22. The site is truly odd.
There is a statement in the sale banner that says quantities are limited, so it's possible they sold out of that item at that price...hence the jump.
I can't believe I ordered 20 albums, but that's just how good the deals were here....highly recommended! the cars Heartbeat City is the 2 lp version, not mentioned in the title, only 9.54. some nice colored vinyl Yardbirds euro releases, nice track listings...like 8 and change instead of the 30 retail...add another 15% off? no brainer. I wonder what Satanic Majesties this is? Did they also release a black vinyl version?
No kidding...I ordered 13 albums, and FIVE of those are double LPs...all for $80 shipped?! That's 18 discs for $4.44 a pop. No brainer is right.
this is the modern equivalent of going into a cool store in the old days and they had a great 99 cent bin
I'm fortunate to have a place by me that has a really great $1 bin or 15 records for $10 still. Not sure if any other record stores do a deal like that but I frequently see stuff in there that isn't dollar bin material.
I'm sure it's lenticular and stereo but is the vinyl black is the question, I know around this time they pressed a blue swirl version.
I do miss the cut-out bins. I still have some records that I bought new for 99 cents in a departments store back in the 80s. Joni Mitchell’s Hissing Of Summer Lawns and the self-titled UK album, to name a few. I wish there were distributors who specialized in cut-outs for record stores like in the old days. You would think that with the vinyl resurgence, a bunch of indie labels would want to move unsold stock and free up some warehouse space for new releases.
I ordered more than I care to admit and only one album was cancelled, Wire - Silver/Lead. One order was placed yesterday before noon, no additional discounts. Later, I did another sizable order and got the 10% newsletter sign-up discount (nice lead on that one upstream!). While I hate leaving $$$ on the table in terms of missed opportunities, this was/is a fun sale and the prices were pretty tremendous with or without an extra 10-15% off. That said, today's discount code should make some serious shopping a no brainer.
There's other things aside from vinyl on sale too if you check the side panels. A couple of decent things in there I saw.
Yes, they have a couple of the recent Felt CD reissues for $11 ea (not cheap, but cheaper than the inflated price at which they were released). I got the Kirsty Maccoll “Days” CD box set for $15 and the Half Man Half Biscuit singles collection for $5.
FIREWORK15 15% off throught July 5th, according to thread in vinyldeals reddit. Someone posted there that a lot of stuff from the blowout bin has either been removed or sold out. wow, I haven't had any cancel yet, but I did order that so I'm guessing it's about to come hope most make it through. we shall see...
Thanks for this. I had picked out just over $25 to get the free shipping, but when I applied the code I was now under $25 and they charged shipping again, so I had to go find another record which I essentially got for free. I had two things go out of stock while in my cart!
