Dennis Firlik (DennisF on this forum), RIP

Hi Tom,

I know that Dennis liked keeping in touch with you about music. He told me that you
both shared a lot of common interests in musical groups you both enjoyed listening to.

Sadly, Tom, I wanted to let you know that Dennis died on Aug 7th. He was 68 years old.
He went in for a back surgery on July 18th. He was in the hospital for 21 days.
Unfortunately, he just had so many complications develop that eventually I had to
have them pull the respirator. There was no hope left. I figured he suffered enough.

I thank you for the friendship you had with my husband because I know he cherished
it through the years.

Ah, that’s sad to hear. I recognise the name and avatar but I don’t think we ever conversed. A long time member here, I see, so nice to know he spent much of the last 17 years discussing his hobby with like-minded people.

Sad to lose one of our own, thoughts with his family and friends.

I'm very sad to read this news. Although we never met or spoke in person, we had numerous private exchanges over the years, comparing Beatles recordings and other stuff. I will miss him around here.

Man, that hit hard! I know that was hardest thing for Ms. Firlik to do.
