Magic by Pilot. Has been my alarm clock tone for about ten years so I guess it would work for a desert island, where I’d probably die from starvation/dehydration in about a year.

I'd go for a long one.
"Macauthor Park Suite" by Donna Summer because it's like a medley of several songs, with tempo changes. She sings it to perfection.

Unfortunately the first song that came to mind was Kokomo..... I think I would need to turn my situation on its head: Sultans of Swing.

"Wind Chimes" from Smiley Smile. It would sound great on a desert island. But actually, "Little Pad" would be better!

Something really long, like the 45 minute version of Playing in the Band from the Grateful Dead's upcoming Pacific Northwest '73-'74 release.

  24. Taking the 'desert island' premise literally, Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic" not only captures the vibe of relaxing on the sand with the palm trees in the background gazing out over the waves, but is an incredibly spiritual song that conjures up the divine. Also an incredible, indelible performance by all involved that never gets old after countless listenings (though for me it's definitely the 'regular' mix and not the apparently intended - but not as effective, I think - 'tambourine mix')...
