Oh I thought it was shaping up to be good up until the last few and maybe the turmoil was for the way it is going now.

Thank you for your sacrifice! :D I'll still be keeping tabs on this thread in lieu of watching, just to see what shenanigans the writers get up to.

Ending of the most recent episode screams soap opera quality writing.

I haven't watched the two most recent episodes, but I'm also not feeling the urge to, despite not hating the show.

I like Kiefer and I'll admit, I was looking for this to be a sort of political revival of the Jack Bauer type of character, but no dice. I'm reminded why I don't really like most network television: cheesy plot points, needless plot twists that make little sense, stupid main characters who miss OBVIOUS clues, etc. It just seems so many network shows are cookie-cutter.

I did watch last week's, but haven't gotten to this week's for same reason. Just not motivated enough. This is just like Blacklist. Started out quite intriguing, but as the first season waned, I got less and less motivated to watch. Now I watch it for the little woman.

Sounds just like me, I stopped watching for the same reason and watch for the same reason!

no question about it. very poorly done.

i'm still totally amazed that the FBI didn't tell the president of the united states the truth. no one would have known except those 2, and they still could have incarcerated him while getting to the bottom of the problem.

even more poorly done than the above.

    Straight outa 24!

As for channeling Camelot, Peter McLeish is the Manchurian Candidate, the kindest, gentlest...

Still, I'll be back. Its addictive like the B&W serials at Saturday afternoon movies in the1950s.

They telegraphed that one. As soon as they showed her in a car you knew what was gonna happen. And it's always a black SUV.

Nice, nothing like the do-gooders who wish death upon those they disagree with.

My mistake. I thought you were saying that you wished this show, which is about the President and Congress all being killed in a terror plot, would instead be a documentary about next yet. My bad, I must have misunderstood you.

Back to discussing this mediocre network TV show.

  17. I can keep up with real and fake shows.

In terms of this show , I can't believe the FBI woman didn't just speak with the president about everything . But I guess the plot wouldn't thicken then. .

It's actually the only network drama show I'm watching this year. I just realized that, and that I'm not watching any of the network comedies.

Network comedies are so bad I'm not watching any either except Modern Family here and there, The Good Place is somewhat iteresting but have no clue what happened to it.

Speechless is excellent and uplifting. Brooklyn Nine-Nine is hilarious and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is a whole bunch of fun as is The Good Place. There is stuff out there that is good.

I'm putting myself out there, throwing myself right into the middle of this torrential downpour of criticism to say that I'm still enjoying the show. Yes, I get the criticisms, particularly the point regarding the FBI not telling Kirkman about McLeish, but gosh darn it to heck, despite its obvious flaws, I like it. Sue me. :)

This could have been the new season of 24, Jack Bauer as president.
