A bunch of idiots at IDMB decided to get together and purposely reduce the shows rating. Pretty pathetic.

Read the forums there. There was a concerted effort to get the rating for the show downgraded. I think it went from a 9.2 to an 8.9. The odd thing with all the bandwagon jumpers claiming that Dexter was all downhill after Season 4 is that the reviews for the following seasons, on IDMB, were consistently in the 8's. Where was all the outrage then if it had got so bad? There seems to be some mass hysteria going on. The public have loved this show since it came on. It has been Showtime's No 1 show!!

Not bandwagon jumping but I thought seasons 1-3 were mediocre to good. Then they had an excellent season with 4. 5-7 were mediocre at best. 8 went from tedious to awful to hideous as the season went on. We stuck it out more because there are so few shows on that we both like enough to watch together. We both felt the same way about season 5 on.

 

You really only liked one season but you watched all eight because there are so few shows you and the wife like enough to watch together? The mind boggles.

Marriage is a game of compromises if you're too young to understand what its all about. As far as your defending Dexter so rabidly, I feel where you're coming from, though. I have/still defended the Lost finale since it aired, the difference being that that one was good.

I guess there's not much to do in Canada except watch tv shows you don't like.

Wonder if the writer's did. If they did and STILL wrote it and shot it that way well the Jose's on us.

 

I bet a lot of Breaking Bad fans are worried it will meet a similar sub par fate.

There is no way BB will end as poorly as Dex.

 

The final season for BB has been so strong that even if the final episode fails to completely deliver, I think it can be forgiven.

I think the finale for BB will largely be satisfying or at least hope so.
