Quite good, actually. Lots of detail and separation, not as deep and panoramic as the some of the best recordings, but still nice. The CD was a little bright, AFAIR, and so is the SACD. Overall, a moderate improvement over the Redbook version (which had an excellent sound to begin with).

As for music, it has occurred to me this would be a perfect backround for a party that pretends to be informal, but still leans onto the safe side, and will never overstep a certain bound... you know the kind;).

Added: I should have warmed up the equipment before listening critically to this SACD. Now, after the system is warmed up, I would change "moderate" to "tangible" improvement over the CD;)

I haven't compared the SACD and CD critically, but the SACD is very smooth and natural-sounding. Every Krall disc I've heard sounds great, but it is a real treat to hear her on SACD.

Absolutely. I have noticed a significant difference in the sound of my systems once they are warmed up.
