Did any SH Forum members listen to Neil Young's new cd on his website? What are your thoughts on this new release and the fact that he did let you listen to the entire recording and not just 30 seconds of each song.i was impressed that Neil Young would let you Listen to the Whole cd/Album before it has hit store shelves-Should this be done more by artists-would it help you decide to buy or not buy a new release more with this type of
    opportunity to hear new music.

I think that's a cool idea............He's obviously not worried about sales, which makes sense since he's already sold a **** load of records spanning his entire career........

It would sure help everyone avoid the real dog albums. But very non-profitable for the industry.

I was thinking about this today. I'm sure as usual that Reprise is not loving the fact that the whole album is up there well in advance of the release date.

I like the album too! Do I buy it or wait for DVD-Audio?

    I listened to it....

    Not very impressed. Boring. Uninspiring.

    ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz......

Damn. And I'm seeing him this Tuesday night with CS&N.

Hopefully they'll stick with the good stuff.....

Gotta love that man. Always the rebel, makes me think that he's had a falling out with the record company. I still remember a quote he once gave "when you're drive down the road sometimes you gotta aim for the ditch, makes life more interesting". I listened to the album you can definitely tell it's Booker T and the MG's doing the backing on several cuts.

I like this album. Kinda bluesy and reflective. On the website download the video cut. A great version of one of the tunes with Crazy Horse. IT RIPS!!!!
