Did you ever own JBL Ti5000 speakers ... and what came next?

    I bought these back in late 1996 and they are still my main stereo speakers. And they are still sounding very good to my ears. But could there be modern and even better speakers without having to spend a fortune? So, if you know their qualities and tried to step up, what was your choice? Thank you!
