Weirdest thing. I can access my collection via the discogs app on my phone, but not through firefox or chrome on my laptop. I can access my dashboard via laptop though. Sent them an email.

Try clearing Discogs cookies on your laptop browser(s.) There have been several authentication issues with the app in the past year, not all of which are resolved.

Are you accessing the site using VPN?

I open my browser, click on the site and it opens. I can access my dashboard including recent actions like added music, a recent sale, etc. But if I try anything else, I get that message.

I can access my collection and anything else through the discog app on my android phone.

I do not understand your question.

I had a similar problem when I had my VPN on my PC (it was connected to a non-US country at that time) and tried to access Discogs. When I turned off VPN, the problem went away so I thought maybe you were using VPN.

There seems to be a few issues right now. I can't navigate without having to continuously click on the privacy pop up.

I'm not sure about the search function either. I now have the clock on The Beatles rather than search for every variation of the band name.
Not sure if this is new???

Its now been 8 days since I emailed their support site. Meanwhile no change for me. And when I select an album and click to search for a specific format or year, it spins and goes nowhere. Hoping this is a site issue all along. Anyone else?

They need to sort the problems quickly as buyers will learn to do without it.
That will be a shame because it's been a great site

discogs is/was great.....prices on CD's (that no one is buying) have continuously gone up and up, they should be careful....

Did you try what Gene Parmesan suggested in post #4?

Support is slow to respond and they'll likely tell you do clear your cookies/cache/try different browser/etc, i.e. the typical things that are usually suggested.

Might also be worth posting in the official forum. I haven't seen any specific threads with this issue but there might be.

No problem here except Firefox choking on the video player loading and playing. It's been that way since the new formatting took hold. I'm not there to watch videos anyway so it's of no concern to me.

If I google a specific year and title( e.g. just bought "Countdown to Ecstasy" and put in 'disgogs, Countdownto ecstasy 2023') I get that release with images, etc. But if I select all versions and then scroll down to the "select" area, it just spins and spins.

Is there any other way to contact them? I am getting no reply from them. And my phone app works fine.

  15. Who is your internet provider? Do you have antivirus/malware protection?

Either of these may be including a VPN which hides your true location when you surf the net.

No just through the support request system. If you haven't tried clearing cache, cookies, using a different browsers, etc I would give that a try.

Support is slow to respond and your request is probably not a priority since they likely have no issue on their end.

I have tried using firefox, chrome and edge. After this advice, I ran CCCleaner to clean out cookies etc. Then I went to Edge (not a browser I use) and attempted to sign in. I got this message:

We have detected a potential security issue with this account. To protect your account, we have prevented this login. Please reset your password to proceed.

I clicked "forgot password" to reset the password. So far no email back allowing me to do that.

I get a reset password email sent. It seems to take a few minutes. And, of course, when I click on link, I get message that "link has expired".

I only care because I have about 1500 CDs catalogued. I don't buy from them.

I finally got a change password link that worked. Changed password. Still same message.

I had that exact problem and screen about a month ago. I couldn't access any page or even get to the help link. I was able to look up the help email at work I believe and sent a screenshot of what I was getting. They emailed back a day or two later and said they had fixed my account. I think you will have to wait until they answer your request, which may be quick or may be slow.

I just received an email saying I’m banned? I don’t get it. Anyone else get banned?

  22. I'm having a similar problem right now:

"We have detected a potential security issue with this account. To protect your account, we have prevented this login. Please reset your password to proceed"

Resetting the password didn't work. And this happened without any apparent reason.

  23. Solved. Had to delete all Discogs cookies from my devices before trying to log in with the new password.
