Discovery+ streaming app & Discovery Channel question

With the launch of the new Discovery+ streaming app, how will this affect the programming on the Discovery Channel? Was watching an episode of Expedition Bigfoot tonight on cable and they had on the screen that new episodes would be moving to Discovery+ only. If certain programs are moving from the cable channel to the streaming app, how will this affect Discovery Channel? How many shows will be moving to streaming only? (I tried Googling this question but could only find info about the streaming app which is $4.99/mo. and a turnoff since I’m already paying Spectrum every month.)
