It may be. It seems like it's in that spot.

I give A Thing or Two 5/5. A great song with a touch of Boogie Woogie.

It's minor and can't stand up to the others. Kinda click bait for me and has that "throwaway" sound to it.

ATO2. Doesn't resonate with me as much as other songs on Wild Honey. Nonetheless, it is a funky little ditty. 4/5.

What part is acapella? Is it an alt version or Maybe I need to go back and listen again?

The liner notes on the 2-fer CD with WH and SS explains the crackling noise on "Country Air", says it is missing/stuttering notes from the malfunctioning organ. It's barely audible on the vinyl album, much more so on the CD. Maybe bec. my vinyl has lots of crackling noises itself!

It’s the a cappella “tag” first heard on the Rarities album and included on Sunshine Tomorrow.

Do you hear this on the stereo version, too? Since getting the stereo release I haven't played the mono for months. Must investigate this.

I posted my comment before reading yours. Don't think I've ever noticed it before, and I've been listening to this record since 1967.

Yes, it's on the stereo version. It's the actual sound of the organ. (Baldwin?) There's also a sort of vibrating hum on "Aren't You Glad": also the organ.

A Thing Or Two is a favorite song on an album filled with favorites. 5/5.

Yep, I was just assuming most of us had heard it. It’s also in the original Stevie song but for some reason it kind of slows the momentum on the BB version. For me anyway.

I'm probably nuts, but when I hear the hum on Aren't You Glad I think of bees.

    "A Thing Or Two"

The background vocals are louder in the stereo mix, which is nice. Good guitar parts and drumming make the song rock pretty hard. More romance from Mike and Carl. C'est magnifique.

    5/5

A Thing or Two - this one I feel like they’re trying too hard to rock out but not quite making it work. A clunky rocker at best. 3/5 for me.

A Thing Or Two -- I like it all right, but it sounds kind of disjointed to me and it's not quite as good IMO as many of the others on the LP.

    3/5
