Didn't care for Terry Jacks, or this song back when, but Carl made major improvement. The horns remind me of what they later did with "Short Skirts". Guess I like this version of "Seasons In the Sun" more than you guys, 'cause I'm giving up a 3/5, 6/10.

1970s radio had some real powder-puff music, but I liked Bread and have a list of songs I did like from artists of the like. I don't think that makes me a wuss! Just a sensitive kind. How is this any different than "Kites Are Fun" or "My Brother Woody"?

Listening to this version for the first time in some while may have inspired me to attempt to fix this by cutting out the chorus! I’ll see how it works. The verses are pretty enjoyable with Carl and the early 60’s guitar sound.

2/5 due to the **** harmonies by the #1 vocal group this side of the Pacific.

SITS-boarding on bubblegum and not something I would think BB fans would actually care much about but ok for completists. 2/5 for Carl's vocal.

The original version came out in 1961. It was in French

This is absolutely gorgeous. Dennis just happens to have written, produced and sung my all-time favourite Christmas song.

A nice song, but I don't think it's one of Dennis's best and I don't like it as much as many people seem to.

Obviously one of the higher points from this "collection" though.

    3/5.

Nice piece, bit of croaking from Dennis, very much in the same vein as his POB work. 3/5

I find this one really moving. Wish the fade had gone on longer. 5.

It brings the spirit likefew songs do; and it's got some kind of mojo all over it. Even if it also kinds of sounds like a rewrite of the "War Is Over" bit of that John Lennon song. 5/5

Great work from Dennis - the fade is amazing. Could have done without the repeat of the "Holy Holy" part which slows the song back down - in fact the tempo could have been slightly faster throughout the song until the fade - but some original work in the Christmas vein rather than rewrites of songs like most of the rest on the album. 4/5

I had decided to stay out of this album, but I couldn't resist jumping in here. This is a beautiful song and another sad reminder of the great gift Dennis squandered. 5/5

They should have found a way to release this at the time. Absolutely sublime. I actually hear it on occasion when shopping which blows me away. 5/5 and then some

One of my favorite Christmas songs. This and "Just Like Christmas" by Low. Doesn't need to be Christmas time--just love the feel and the croak. So sad that Denny's death came just before Christmas. Makes the song a little more poignant, but I still find it heartwarming. 5/5

Beautiful, just beautiful with Dennis letting us catch a look at his soul. Right up there with his best work indeed. A wonderful hymn to the season. 5/5

I've never noticed that, but I think you are right. Oh, that sneaky Beatles fan Dennis.

An exceptional track all around. Love the brief riff from "Steamboat" that keeps popping in - always makes me smile. Very spiritual, light the candles on the morning song. I think Dennis is the right one to sing "Christmas Morning". 5/5, 9/10.
