DLP projectors and "rainbow" pattern

Yesterday I was at Tweeter and I was watching a DVD being projected by the top of the line Yamaha DLP projector onto a 7 foot screen. The quality of the image was really very good. Great resolution, minimum stair stepping. BUT, if I moved my eyes quickly from one side of the screen to the other, or quickly up and down, I noticed a strange "rainbow" pattern. I was told that this is a problem with some DLP projectors caused by the color wheel and that the new projectors that are just being released will not have this problem. ANy opinions????
