Do any cable shows feature uncensored F bombs yet?

I tend to agree, but I must say that blond Russian agent is really hot....

Seems like they've been allowed one per episode.

The entire Russian thing leaves me cold.

I definitely think the whole point of the Russian subplot was just to inject sex appeal into the show. Stupid. They didn't have to do that so overtly for X-Files or Fringe, and those were very entertaining shows.

I know. But it's a lotta TV bullspit.

On last night's Project Blue Book, they had not one, not two, but THREE uses of the F word. (Plus, it was a
    really great episode..).

  5. I remember watching this as a kid. No ‘f’ bombs though:

Steve Buscemi's character on the new season of "Miracle Workers" probably wouldn't have flown not that long ago.

Speaking of an FXX show, I've been watching Dave and it's SUPER vulgar. Lots of f bombs and a lot of sexual content (though, no full blown nudity yet). Very good series so far too, I'm enjoying it a lot.

Briarpatch on USA Network has F bombs.

Saul has had 1 this season so far. I wonder why USA Network and FX have no problem airing profanity, but AMC barely allows F bombs.

Adult Swim shows accidentally air them unbleeped with mild regularity - just a couple weeks ago Ballmastrz: 9009 aired an uncensored “motherf****r” (funnily enough spoken in an outburst by what is normally the show’s gentlest and least profane character), and I believe the exact same thing happened with a Rick & Morty episode a few years back.

Of course, [as], while occupying a Warner channel and technically beholden to their typical standards and practices, is totally piloted by Williams Street which is a small fairly shoestring division that’s given a good amount of leeway by higher-ups in order continue successfully connecting with their target audience (as they have done for nearly two decades) so I’m not surprised their management isn’t all that concerned about such errors making it into initial airings.

RICK & MORTY had tons of Fs and even MFs. Do they air as on the DVDs?

No, F words are bleeped in broadcast (and on-demand, extending to even the purchasable digital versions) except for the couple of occasions where they’ve made it through accidentally. I believe s**t also used to get bleeped on the show in the first season but at this point not anymore, as almost all networks have gotten way less restrictive on that particular expletive (compared to the early 00s, when South Park was actively fighting S&P in order to use it and made a whole episode joking about it).
Another interesting case on Adult Swim is The Boondocks, which bleeped the F and S words but has never had to bleep the N word (I believe per an initial contractual agreement with the show’s creator Aaron McGruder).

Prior to the 2004 Wardrobe Malfunction, Network TV was starting to push the envelope a bit more with nudity and profanity, ER and NYPD Blue come to mind. Then they really tightened the reins afterwards.

"A bit of nudity"? Last time PBS aired a Woodstock documentary all the heinies were fuzzed out. Janet Jackson scared the bejesus out of them.

It may have to do with the fact that PBS now has limited commercials. So they no longer necessarily adhere to the old principal that they would not have to make programming/editorial decisions based on appeasing advertisers. But they have advertisements now, although subtle and limited, not to mention benefactors.

It depends on the producers. PBS has aired full nudity in the past. I think it's a show-by-show judgement.

Nothing is uncensored around here. I just watched something that mentioned "streetwalkers using drugs". They muted "drugs", but left in the streetwalkers, probably because the censor did not understand what that meant. All F, S, MF, CS, P, C and T bombs are muted or cut. Plus a bunch of words George Carlin would likely be amused to see censored.

They showed all those Flying Circus topless women in the United States? What about all those posters in the "Pornographic Bookshop" sketch?

    OH!
    That reminds me....
They've been showing "Flying Circus" episodes on IFC, and when they aired "The Cycling Tour" ep., when they arrived at the British Embassy, they cut Cleese & Chapman doing totally 'over-the-top' Chinese impersonations!
So.....some things DO get 'edited' on IFC!

I love Carlin's bit on censorship, especially, "Why can someone say "He pricked his finger" but not "He fingered his prick?"

That's hard to believe, especially "Pornographic Bookshop". But I suppose fewer pearl clutchers watch PBS.

I watched all the Python episodes on PBS stations in the 1970s, and trust me, they were shown intact, usually after 10PM. If you watched the same PBS stations I was (on cable from Georgia and over the air in Florida), you would have seen what I saw. I know what I saw, since I actually recorded the show at the time in 1976 and 1977 on Betamax and had the tapes for years and years, until the complete series was released on DVD. Because I worked in broadcasting, I was extremely aware of what you could and could not say on broadcast TV, and I was occasionally surprised by a bit of nudity or a four-letter word on the Python shows. But it was a very mild R, maybe a PG-13, not enough to get anybody's panties in a bunch. But "F Bombs" were among them.

I also have some vivid memories of being able to still frame certain bits, and friends of mine and I would laugh and laugh at some of the stuff Monty Python got away with. We'd say, "wow, did I just see something on the lower left, and because of the magic of home video, we could wind the tape back and watch it again. This was considered fairly miraculous 45 years ago.

I just started watching Snowfall and Breeders (both FX), lots of F bombs.

I wonder why AMC is pruder about this kind of thing.
