We won the 2020 E A Poe Society award for this video in 2020. It's our musical setting of the Poe poem "Alone".

I'm not sure how to post this so the video shows up.

This is my original song inspired by the film Rumblefish and Mickey Rourke called The Motorcycle Boy (Who Does He Hope To Be?) The video is just stills from the film. I wrote the words and music, recorded live on my android phone with my vocals on reverb through a signal processor, the guitar is through an amp.

I've been on a band, I've been a solo artist, I recorded a lot of stuff but never made a proper video. I was never a professional musician to be honest, but I loved everything I made.

Wow so many extremely talented musicians on here. I'm really enjoying it. This is such a great thread.

Here's the only (sort of) video, which I just posted today from a solo album I did during the pandemic last year, writing, recording, singing & playing all the instruments on my own. (with very little exception) This song probably doesn't give the best clue as to what a lot of the music sounds like on the album, but it's what I have video wise. The rest of it is available on Spotify, Apple Music and all the usual places. (Artist: Paul Gongola, Album: Out of Nowhere) - These were just supposed to be demos to rewrite for my band.

Underground Ballroom - Improvisational blues-based jam band with a distinct early-70s flavour. All-original songs by leader and guitarist Mike Atherton, one of only three lefties in a four-piece band (myself on organ and drummer Jim Bamber being the other two).

Thank you, I really appreciate that!

Working on new stuff right now. It will be slightly less layered, I think.

Excellent stuff. Kinda reminds me of Matthew Sweet fronting Transatlantic in a mellow Beatles mood :agree:

Back in the mid '90s I was in a band called Lid. We released 2 7" singles and a few other things on compilations/cassettes which were collected a couple of years ago on an album called "Submarine Devotion". We recorded a potential third single, "(So) Wired" which was never released and wasn't included on the "Submarine Devotion" album because the only copy was on a DAT master which had snapped. I recently got it fixed so it's now finally been released.
