I also love sci-fi like 5,000,000 Years To Earth and cheap horror like The Brain That Wouldn't Die and The Thing With Two Heads.

Westerns and pretty much everything that is set before the 1900s and science fiction.

 

The David Lynch genre is my favorite.

Westerns and Noir, mainly, but I'm kinda selective. I find there are an awful lot of poor Westerns whereas I can watch the crappiest Noir and get something from it. I'm also partial to old-style Horror - the pre-1965 stuff that builds tension and atmosphere as opposed to the axe in the face style - though that has its merits.

 

Noir? Sexier clothes.

 

Movies with good dialogue are my favorites. Excluding horror movies, the genre isn't important.

 

Sort of a dead heat between:

Science Fiction / superhero / steampunk / distopia
Action / Adventure / Crime
Historical drama
Western

 

Lately, euro-sleaze. (Jess Franco, Paul Naschy, Jean Rollin, etc).
