Can't help suspecting that the title and cover are more appealing than the music.

    So only no.23 to go:

    23. Breaking wind and not apologising, cutting in front of someone in a queue.
The 'Big' theme of these clues would apply here too to their large frontman with the punning stage name.

And that wraps this one up. As expertly discerned, the theme was Todd Rundgren. The background was stitched together (you don't have to look too hard to see the joins) from the background to the iconic (there's that word again, well maybe to TR fans) Todd album...

    ...and the albums either:
    – were produced by Todd, or
    – contain a cover of a song written by Todd.
    1. Owen Paul – As It Is (cover of 'One World')
    2. Jim Steinman – Bad for Good (produced by TR)
    3. Rumer – Boys Don't Cry (cover of 'Be Nice To Me')
    4. Jaki Graham – Breaking Away (cover of 'Mated')
    5. Rod Stewart – Camouflage (cover of 'Can We Still Be Friends?')
    6. New Seekers – Circles (cover of 'I Saw the Light')
    7. Kim Wilde – Close (cover of 'Lucky Guy')
    8. New York Dolls – Cos I Sez So (produced by TR)
    9. David Clayton-Thomas – David Clayton-Thomas (cover of 'Once Burned')
    10. Billy Bragg – Don't Try This at Home (cover of 'Just One Victory')
    11. England Dan and John Ford Coley – Dr Heckle and Mr Jive (cover of 'Love is the Answer')
    12. Felix Cavaliere – Felix Cavaliere (produced by TR)
    13. Maddy Prior – Flesh and Blood (cover of 'Honest Work')
    14. Psychedelic Furs – Forever Now (produced by TR)
    15. Paul Gilbert – Fuzz Universe (cover of 'Blue Orpheus')
    16. Great Speckled Bird – Great Speckled Bird (produced by TR)
    17. Rick Derringer – Guitars and Women (produced by TR)
    18. Halfnelson – Halfnelson (produced by TR)
    19. Jennifer Warnes – The Hunter (cover of 'Pretending to Care')
    20. Steve Hillage – L (produced by TR)
    21. Big Star – Live at Missouri University (cover of 'Slut')
    22. Isley Bros – Live It Up (cover of 'Hello It's Me')
    23. Bad Manners – Mental Notes (cover of 'Bang the Drum All Day')
    24. Fanny – Mother's Pride (produced by TR)
    25. Four Tops – Nature Planned It (cover of 'We Gotta Get You a Woman')
    26. Bad Religion – The New America (produced by TR)
    27. Cheap Trick – Next Position Please (produced by TR)
    28. Rubinoos – Party of Two (produced by TR)
    29. Yvonne Elliman – Rising Sun (cover of 'Sweeter Memories')
    30. Grand Funk Railroad – Shinin' On (produced by TR)
    31. Jill Sobule – Things Here Are Different (produced by TR)
    32. Tom Robinson Band – TRB Two (produced by TR)
    33. Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs – Under the Covers Vol.2 (cover of 'Couldn't I Just Tell You?')
    34. Shaun Cassidy – Wasp (produced by TR)
    35. Patti Smith Group – Wave (produced by TR)
    36. Bourgeois Tagg – Yoyo (produced by TR)
And one great cover that inexplicably got lost in the mix, because it was definitely in my shortlist, is this one by Alison Krauss of 'It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference' from the album 'Forget About It'…

Here's another "24 album covers, 8 themes" puzzle for you all.

In the puzzle are 24 tiles with image segments from album covers. Each segment shows 1/16 of the entire respective cover.

As for the previous puzzles of this type, there are eight triplets of albums, each triplet corresponding to a theme. The position of the tiles is irrelevant; a tile may or may not be in the same triplet as its neighbour.

    Rules (same as before):

    1. Identify two or more albums from a triplet, and suggest the common theme. Do not just identify single albums, except to complete a triplet where the theme has already been identified.
    2. Wait a few minutes after posting, to give everyone a turn.

    Enjoy.

You're a brick, Mark, I knew I could count on you. Can you find the other brick reference?

There's a few covers not gelling at the moment. It's tricky :)

Actually I'm finding that many of them look very obvious when blown up to this size. When I was designing it I thought maybe some of them were too hard.

Those two album are correct, as are all the answers submitted so far, but they do not belong to the same triplet.

Please note the rules: don't supply single album answers, except to complete a triplet where the theme is already known.

So far we have two themes completely sorted: the trash theme, and 1984.

No, nothing as deep as that. All the connections are straightforward, like "Flower" in the title, or trash/rubbish/garbage.
