Hell, Marvel's done this so many times in their own magazines, why would the Mouse House feel less inclined...
End of teaser says in theaters only. Should be on D+ by the fall, though, if previous releases are any indication. edit: Probably August. Looks like about 3 months have passed between previous theatrical releases and release on Disney+.
The first Strange movie was an absoplute treat in 3D. That movie is a demonstration of how immersive 3D can be. I liked the first Strange movie for the storyline and visuals. I will see it in the theatre first week. Movies tend not to last very long in theatres up here.
New character unlocked! America Chavez - Wikipedia Also capable of multiverse travel, among other powers, so a great new hero to introduce here.
I really liked the first Doc Strange movie. But I haven't seen any of the Marvel series, or the Ten Rings movie or Eternals. I did see the last Spider Man Multiverse one. I wonder if there is too much in this I just won't get.
There'll be some stuff from Wandavision that will probably come into play in this one (e.g. her entire backstory since Endgame and why she's doing just about anything and who those kids are, etc...). Still up in the air if the What If episodes about an alternate Strange will be noteworthy. Other than that, seeing No Way Home is probably enough, I don't foresee any major references to other films besides the first Strange.
So far, it looks like we might have the following Illuminati members: Spoiler: ...if you want to guess along? Professor X; possibly a live action version of the animated series character, based on glimpses of the yellow power chair. Captain Carter; super soldier serum powered Peggy Carter, as seen in What If, and who fought with Uatu the Watcher against an Infinity Stone powered Ultron at the end of that show's first season. Captain Marvel; this version appears to be Maria Rambeau instead of Carol Danvers in the reality she comes from. Iron Man; not seen but heavily suggested by the presence of Ultron-style foot soldiers in the trailers. This version may be the Superior Iron Man, rumored to be portrayed by Tom Cruise. Producer Richie Palmer suggested in March that both the Illuminati and Iron Man would not appear in this film, but now the Illuminati is confirmed by the trailer, so...) Possibly a Doctor Strange variant such as the Defender!Strange we've seen in the trailers, with the Reed Richards-like white temples, and who appears to be somehow zombified later in the film. This would be one interpretation of Professor X's line "Let's see what kind of Doctor Strange you are", perhaps suggesting they have one as a member and want to see how this variant compares. Baron Mordo; this Mordo we see in the trailers is either MCU!Prime Mordo and not an Illuminati member or perhapse some Mordo variant who is a member, probably as the Sorcerer Supreme of his reality. I tend to think the Mordo in this film is the one we know since he still seems to be antagonistic against Strange and carrying that grudge from the end of the first Strange film. He may not be an Illuminati member, but the one who appealed to them to rule on Strange's actions. A couple other guesses here: Every rumored Illuminati team member in 'Doctor Strange 2', explained There is also a suggestion that we may see: Spoiler: this guy! The Living Tribunal, either briefly as Strange and America Chavez are being tumbled through the multiverse, or as some kind of head
