I have a short list that I look for. Many are replacements for ones I used to own. :(

My theory is that when my eyes are too far gone to enjoy books, I can still fall asleep in front of the TV :)

Recent arrivals to my library: A Bridge Too Far / Adventures Of Robin Hood / Big Trail / Blue Denim / Blues Brothers / Clash By Night /
Custer-Complete Series / Hatfields & McCoys / History Of The World, Part 1 / My Friend Flicka-Complete Series / Ned Kelly / Norma Rae /
Of Human Bondage / Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm Show-Complete Series / Pee Wee's Big Adventure / She Wore A Yellow Ribbon / Three Stooges
-G.I. Stooge / Three Stooges-Stooges On The Run / Young & Innocent. I don't think I'll have a problem if the cable goes out. :righton:

I remember both "Custer" and "My Friend Flicka" being at Walmart a few years back (I think there may have been a new season release of "Daniel Boone" out then too)... Both of the shows would have been blind purchases for me, as I had never seen either of them, but I only bought "Custer" and planned on buying "Flicka" the next time I went in... Of course it was gone when I was gonna buy it, so I never did get the set...

Question about the "My Friend Flicka" series: Are these episodes in color or B&W? I ask because according to Wikipedia, it was shot in color but originally aired in B&W on its original network, but aired in color later on. So, I'm just wondering how Shout! factory decided to release them?

Just last week, I picked up "Hatfields & McCoys" out of Walmart's $5.00 bin... I never seen that either, but it sounds good.

I was at the flea market over the weekend and picked up all the MGM James Bond special edition DVD's from "Dr. No" to "A View To A Kill" - 14 discs for $6.

Just an update... the site managed to remain active for the past year, but it will now be shutting down on July 30th. Export/backup your collections now if you haven't already.

Apparently the guy who took it over last year passed away recently, and I guess they don't have anyone who's willing/able to keep it running. A real shame. :(

Had to pass on two dvd titles the other day. No room to fit items in bag. Hate having to do that.

Just picked up 8 Criterion titles with their 50% off sale.

Received 11 titles from the Twilight Time closing sale.

    Have several titles pre-ordered.

So I’m still buying titles for my collection, mostly blu-ray and 4K discs now with the occasional DVD if it’s not available on blu-ray.

  17. Its loss is going to take many people by surprise. I don't think many people are aware that Filmaf is shutting down. That site has a lot of user generated data that will go down the drain when it disappears.

New additions I treated myself to: Camille / Do The Right Thing / Kitty Foyle / Malcom X / The Trouble With Harry. Very happy to own them.
