I recently snagged a couple of pristine copies of Doobie Brothers LPs and was really inpressed by the sound of the pressings. Can anybody tell me if these matrix numbers are an indication of specifically good versions?

Doobie Brothers - What Were Once Vices are Now Habits (w/poster). It's a NM Canadian copy which sounds quite wonderful. Matrix number on both sides has -1A at the end. Also has C2-ZD in the dead wax. An early pressing?

Doobie Brothers - Toulouse Street. Mid-70s Canadian pressing. Sounds excellent. Side 1 has -1A matrix but, second side has -1C-2G.

    Cheers,
    Chris

Wonder what happened to the original thread? Computer glitch or something? Weird.
