What exactly are these CDs. I've seen lots of talk of them on the Beatles newsgroups.

Are they sourced from vinyl? Does anyone have any experience with them?

    Thanks for any info.

Yep, sourced from vinyl, in both US and UK flavors.

The UK are sourced from MoFi vinyl.

Sound on the UK versions is good, but a bit bright (as are the MoFi albums). I can't speak for the US versions.

Thanks. Doesn't sound like anything worth pursuing.

Grant Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me!

I have a Dr. Ebbits Sgt Pepper's Lonley Hearts Club Band in mono. It's from the EMI/Parlophone LP and it is good! The editing is not perfect, though. I had to go in and re-edit and re-fade some things. But the sound is top notch for an LP transfer!

    Highly recommended!

On the contrary. These CDs are much better than the retail releases. Your money is better spent with the Doc, IMO. At least until the powers that be do something (good) about the current shape of the Beatles catalogue.

If you don't want to spend the $$$ for the MFSL vinyl pick up the Ebbetts discs....

It's good. It's sourced from the early 80's Japanese vinyl....

It's a great rip. Beats hunting down a copy of the Red vinyl JPN 80's vinyl. Sound is strong and very sweet. Recommended.

Where do you find these disks. If Ebay how do you tell it's Dr. Ebbits
