New album after 3.5-year wait. Apparently a second isn’t too far behind.

I wish Patterson all the success life has to offer, but even though I'm current on the entire catalog, I haven't reached for any of it, in over a year, so I'll be passing on this one.

Automatic purchase for me. Also love that they're coming back to the Ryman in April--looking forward to that!

  10. I have been a big Truckers fan for the past 15 years.Thought American Band was their best album and one of the truly great albums of the last decade.
    Thrilled for this.

This one's going to be great. The new songs they've been playing live this year are exceptional.

Wow, that was over 3 years ago, time passes worryingly fast. Last one was really good.

Glad to see some Truckers love on the forum. Been a fan forever and they're always an automatic buy for me. Stoked for this and the Heathens Homecoming to follow in February and a show or two in the spring.

So many great new songs on the recent Patterson - Cooley solo "Dimmer Twins" tour! New Truckers album should be great!!

I'm looking forward to this album, even if the last didn't wow me, good as it was. The album cover is dreadful though. So bland.

Just picked up dirty south and decoration day - really hard to top those. Maybe.

I can’t wait for this new album to be released. Armageddon’s Back In Town is first rate and I like my first peek at the live versions posted above (especially Rosemary With a Bible and a Gun).

Looking forward to the new release! Slightly 0ff-topic: i due wish they had continued Wes Freed's cover art for their releases.

  21. I'll be all over this. My wife & I will be seeing our 49-51 DBT shows this February at HeAthens Homecoming at the 40 Watt in Athens, GA this February.

Just finishing up listening to this now, and it's better than I was expecting. First impressions are this is a really good album - think there are only two Cooley songs though. The songs are tight, and there's an underbelly sparseness I've not heard on their records for a long time. It doesn't 'rock' hard so anyone pining for a return to The Dirty South will be disappointed. I certainly prefer it to their last LP, which was a bit disappointing to my ears.

Good to hear because I actually thought "American Band" was very strong... stronger than I'd heard from them in years.
