I'm looking for a DVD title--the movie "Arabesque", released last Tuesday. (Directed by Stanley Donen, stars Gregory Peck and Sophia Loren.) Amazon is the only place that lists it. Deep Discount DVD and DVD Planet both do not list it. Are there any other places online that have good prices and better selection?
Amazon is the only place I'm "comfortable" ordering from online. I really try to hunt DVDs down in B&M stores for whatever reason. Of course there is that occasional one I'll have to get from Amazon, but they've never done me wrong.
The B&M stores around here never stock anything this obscure, or anything even half-obscure. It's all chain stores in this area (unless there's some obscure little store around that I haven't found yet). I don't know why I bothered, but online, I struck out at Barnes & Noble, FYE, Outpost, Best Buy, Circuit City, Suncoast and Media Play. Netflix doesn't even show it! Amazon has it, but now the sale price isn't as good.
I don't think this film has been released in North America. The Amazon website gives no information on the DVD, like sudio etc. The DVD database I just searched shows no release. It may be a South American release. Sounds fishy.
John--I found a seller who supposedly had it available, and asked if it was an import. No reply yet. That may be another clue it's not an official release. Then again, if it looked halfway decent I wouldn't mind owning it. Maybe for $15...but not for $30.
