Correct. A decent BD release will scrap the badly edited 2005 “special edition” and instead give us the fully restored preview cut together with the original theatrical cut. I pray that Criterion get the rights to do this properly, rather than WAC releasing the 2005 cut only.

I don't think The Pledge(2001) is on BR yet. Oh, it's listed earlier, carry on.

Another plea for a Blu-ray release of `The Abyss`, why this is not available is astonishing.
Also `Adam`s Family Values` which I thought was a great film, and the best ever `Werewolf movie `Dog Soldiers`, are still (as far as I know), not available in the UK.

And one that was made in such a limited quantity that the price is through the roof and might as well be on the list:

In a weird way I like the fact some of my LD titles haven't gone to DVD/Blu :uhhuh:

However! I would like to see urgent attention drawn to early silent films from the 1920s. Many original elements are in such a bad state now, I'd hate for us to lose those more than anything else :(

NARROW MARGIN - the Gene Hackman version, only exists as a not-so-wonderful DVD.

No announcement yet but that one is coming. Probably. A 4k scan was made:
    https://filmmakermagazine.com/105670-i-dont-care-if-it-never-shows-in-a-theater-steven-soderbergh-on-sex-lies-and-videotape-4k-hdr-and-the-studio-system/

“It also coincided with a project that I think is going to take a long, long time, which is to attempt to get everything I’ve done re-mastered and brought into the 4K HDR world. We’ve been spending a lot of time lately focusing on some of the titles that have reverted back to me and that I control. I’m reaching out to all the companies that I’ve worked with in the past to see if they’d be interested in going back and re-mastering the films in this new format. The good news is that totally coincidentally, Fox decided on their own to go back and re-master Solaris in 4K HDR and I just saw that two weeks ago. So we’re chipping away at it.”

And with all the releases the last few years, "The Glenn Miller Story" still hasnt been restored. The current Blu-Ray disk has gotten bad reviews for video quality.

Most won't be on that list as a lot blu rays end at dollar tree big lots and 99 cent stores.

I’m British, so your domestic is not my domestic. Collecting BDs on a serious basis is an international affair.

    I know I'm forgetting some.

The Defiant Ones, Roman Holiday, Ordinary People and Of Mice And Men are at the top of my wish list.
Also Scarlet Street needs a restoration, but that's a whole other matter...
Also still no U.S. releases for The Elephant Man and Atlantic City.
Also certain TV shows (The Beverly Hillbillies, Car 54, Where Are You, The Andy Griffith Show after season 1, The Munsters, etc....)

That's great news! I have to admit, I don't keep up with blu-ray releases as much these days, but Repo Man deserved a Criterion release; I can think of a few others. ;o)
I did see that The Notorious Bettie Page finally got a blu-ray release.

I read that before too...back in 2018, I think. Should it really take this long? Wonder if they scrapped the idea.

Criterion did Brute Force but I see only on DVD so maybe a BR is in the future.

    Beat me to it!

The movie was a flop so it's not a shock it's not out on BD, but still a disappointment.

    Love that movie!
