It's a mystery why that one's not on BD. Cameron blames Fox, Fox points toward Cameron, blah blah blah.

Cameron has made it sound like he's too busy to approve the transfer, which is absurd. He can find 3 hours to watch his freakin' movie!

"Abyss" doesn't even have a good DVD - the one we have is nearly 21 years old, and it's a non-anamorphic recycle of the laserdisc!

"Abyss" is almost certainly the most wanted "not on BD" title. (Not counting the non-SE "Star Wars" movies...)

Day of the Jackal and Cross of Iron are two DVD's that come to mind...

    That would be nice.
They've remastered Of Mice and Men, it's available on TCM On Demand now, so I hope that means an upcoming Blu-ray in the future too, for that one.

I could even settle for a decent anamorphic DVD.

Yeah I dont know. I bought the iTunes download of Solaris (predates the new 4k master but surely better than the dvd and better than the defective German BluRay).

That was never released on DVD. It was never even released on VHS. The music rights were too expensive, apparently.

I wouldn't. We're in an era where 4K is getting close to being the standard.

A DVD would be a slap in the face!

Danny Says. The excellent documentary about Danny Fields.
    Also Joan Jett's Bad Reputation movie, and, there's Radio Birdman's Descent Into The Maelstrom movie (not as good as the others, but...)...they're not even issuing them as Blu-rays anymore;
there's HD downloads, but no Blu-rays, just DVDs - wtf? It's 2019. Almost 2020! I was incredibly disappointed in the quality of the picture with the Bad Repuation DVD, after what I'd seen in HD on TV.
End Of The Century still hasn't been issued on Blu-ray. Hell, the MC5's A True Testimonial still hasn't been issued! to my knowledge...
(oh and what about John Hammond's documentary? Same thing...)

Another old film for the list? - It Should Happen To You (Judy Holliday; Jack Lemmon's first movie); I forgot this one before.

The sweetest thing. Horrible movie but Cameron Diaz is in it

Head above water. Less horrible, but Cameron Diaz is in it.

The invisible circus. Same as above.

Very bad things. This time, average movie. Again, Cameron Diaz is in it.

    Too bad she's retired

Not poor choices. I was posting from work and didn't have time to look and see if they'd been released yet. I could tell from the earlier postings that if I made a mistake someone would correct me, possibly snidely but what can you do? Boo-yeah!!!!!

Nothing snide about my response. Just pointing out the facts. Thought you might be grateful for the information.

something for Shout to take on after all they've been ripping us off with insane DVD & BD pricing for years! They're releasing Munster Go Home and only charging us $28.00 for BD...Universal would probably offer it for $9.99...

Can’t believe Alice Doesn’t Live Here isn’t out. I misplaced my standard ed a few months ago but didn’t care, figured I would upgrade it. Nope!

Highly recommend going region free. Opens many possibilities to other great releases.

Probably. Cameron doesn't tend to appear particularly concerned with reproducing his movies as originally released! :sigh:
