By the way. If you use a "standard" Kindle (not a fire-one), and borrow e-books from your public library, there is a simple way to extend your borrowing period without affecting other borrowers. Generally, an e-book is borrowed for three weeks and cannot be renewed if others have placed holds on it. If you place your Kindle in airplane mode, a borrowed e-book will remain on the Kindle indefinitely. The book will be returned to the library from your Amazon account, and others can borrow it, but it will remain on the Kindle until you take the device out of airplane mode.
