    Here's the ones I like...

    The Joker (UK) EMI/Fame CD-FA 3250
Fly Like An Eagle (Japan) Capitol/EMI CP32-5574
Book Of Dreams (Japan) Capitol/EMI CP32-5575
    Greatest Hits 1974-1978 (Japan) Capitol/EMI CP32-5576
    Abracadabra (Japan) Capitol/EMI CP32-5577

I haven't heard the W. Germany Green Arrow pressing of the applicable albums that have them. Who knows, they could be very similar.

How about the earlier Albums @Dave ? Pre-Joker era? Many seem to be UE Capital '89 as the "original" CD releases with Japan much later.

I've only ventured to one album and I didn't enjoy the sound at all. Other long time SHF members mentioned all of the post 1988 albums of earlier albums released didn't sound good. After my experience I believed it too.

    @Jerry

I read a comment of yours from an old closed thread with regards to the early Steve Miller catalogue released on Capital(CDs) late '80s(?). I can't "find" your comment now to copy/paste here since the thread is closed, I can't quote it.
You mention Steve H as "giving a thumbs up" to those releases (Capital on CD) if I read your comment correctly? I was going through many Early Steve Miller CD mastering types or related threads trying to see if the Original Capital CD releases were the best to go for when I saw your comment:)

Concerning the first 5 Steve Miller albums, I recall Steve H. once gave a big thumbs up to the sound quality of the Capitol remasters by Larry Walsh, from the late 80's/early 90's. I agree that they sound wonderful, and can't imagine needing to repurchase new versions.

I can’t find the original thread where Steve mentioned Larry Walsh and Steve Miller, but it’s easy to find many posts of Steve singing Walsh’s praises on Sinatra and Nat King Cole recordings. Those Larry Walsh-mastered Steve Miller CD releases is all you need for the first 5 albums.

Yes, late 80’s early 90’s. Larry Walsh is credited on the back. Your Saving Grace will be the toughest to find at affordable prices, usually.

Between sometime after 89, Capitol changed it's manufacturing to EMI JAX. Same mastering.

Gotcha. I was then thinking "if" the earlier CD issued(pre JAX) has the mastering credit-Larry Walsh? Since yours doesn't.

Waiting on a rebuttal from Jerry. :) If that's the case these haven't been submitted yet to discogs. If he could post a DR scan we could match/not match them up

I have a few early Steve Miller on CD

Your Saving Grace - mastering credited to Larry Walsh 1990 on the CD and back cover (Made in Holland) CDP 7 94448 2
Brave New World - no mastering credit, 1989 c Capitol (Made in USA) CDP 791246 2
Sailor - mastering credited to Larry Walsh 1990 on back cover and inner sleeve (Made in USA) CDP 7 94449 2

I also have Children of the Future (2012) mastered by Phil Kinrade at Alchemy, marketed by Demon and manufactured in the EU.

The whole of Steve Miller's early catalogue was reissued on CD in 2012.

I can't provide any comparisons in sound quality as I don't have any duplicate CDs, and I stopped buying the early CD issues as I decided that I preferred my original LPs. The only LP I didn't have and which wasn't issued in the UK in 1968 was Children of the Future and the vinyl issue of that, following on from the CD issues of 2012, issn't very good SQ.

Haven’t played it in a while, and have not compared it to anything else, but no complaints on the sound of this one on CD
    *Edit*
Can’t get the picture to stick.
It’s Anthology from 1972 that I’m talking about

You are correct, sorry. No. 5 doesn’t say, either. But Sailor, Saving Grace and Anthology have Larry Walsh credited on the back. You’re safe if it says 1989 or 1990 on the rear or CD label.
