I think it’s true with their new I/50 integrated as well. I have one on hand for a few months now, and I’m really enjoying it…sounds great! But still…for no good reason other than to give it a try, I emailed their support team to ask about rolling in new tubes. Basically, they said I shouldn’t mess with the Sovtek 6550WE output tubes that came with it…but that I could have some fun swapping out the EH 6922 input/driver tubes.
Oh yeah there are tons of 6922 in all kinds of flavors. That’s the one I rolled the most in my Cary when I got it but be careful as all that rolling loosened my socket pin holes
